NAKODAR
The Mehat Pur police have booked a tractor driver on the charge of causing death by negligence.
Investigating Officer (IO) Jaspal Singh said that the accused has been identified as Manjit Singh son of Balwant Singh a resident of Made Pur village in Ludhiana.
Baljit Singh a resident of Beeta; Jhugian village complained to the police that the accused was driving his tractor trolly loaded negligently and hit his cousin Kuldeep Singh Keepu's (resident of Jalalabad district) motorcycle and killed him near his village.
IO said that a case under section 304-A (causing death by negligence), 279(rash driving on a public road), and 427(mischief) of the IPC has been registered against Manjit Singh.
