The Lohian Khas police have arrested a woman on the charge of selling illicit country-made liquor.
Investigating Officer Kashmir Singh said that 40 bottles of hooch were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Sukhjinder Kaur wife of Gurcharan Singh a resident of Kang Kalan village.
A case under section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
The Nurmahal police arrested Gurdev Singh of Shamsha Bad village with 8 bottles of hooch said IO Angrej Singh.
