The Shahkot police have booked eight persons including two women on the charge of assaulting a man.
Investigating officer (IO) Salinder Singh said that the accused have been identified as Parkash Kaur wife of Buta Singh, Shinder Kaur wife of Salinder Singh and Shinder, SukhwinderJaswant, Rajwinder, Mangu, Pinder all residents of Kania Kalan village.
Balwinder Singh a resident of Chak Bahmannia village complained to the police that the accused attacked him in a nursing school at Malsian village on July 27 and seriously injured him.
IO said that a case under sections 323, and 325(voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
The Mehat Pur police booked six persons for assaulting Sonu of Anga Kirri village said IO Balwinder Singh.
The Bilga police also booked a Ludhiana village resident for assaulting Ranjit Singh of Mao Sahib village said IO Avtar Lal.
