The Lohian Khas police have arrested two persons and booked three others including a woman on the charge of outraging a woman’s modesty.
Investigating Officer (IO) Bhajan Singh said that the arrested accused have been identified as Amandeep Singh and Kamajit Singh residents of Malsian village and the booked accused have been identified as Gagan Deep Kaur and Sukhchain Singh residents of Malsian village and their one unidentified accomplice.
Santosh Kaur wife of Narinder Singh a resident of Barra Jodh Singh village complained to the police that Gagan Deep Kauris her daughter-in-law quarrelled with her husband Jaspreet Singh on June 26 and went to her parental village.
The complainant said Gaga Deep with four other close relatives barged into her house on June 19 and started beating her husband and when she tried to save her son the accused badly thrashed and threatened her and fled away.
IO said that a case under sections 354 (criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty),323(voluntarily causing hurt) 452(house trespass) 506(criminal intimidation and 34(committing a crime with common intention) has been registered against the accused.
