The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a village resident on the charge of snatching a car.
Investigating Officer (IO) Som Nath said that the accused has been identified as Gagan alias Pardhan son of Binder Singh a resident of Nur Pur Chatha village.
Paras Gogna a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused was his friend and called him to drink juice on July 7 and insisted on driving his vehicle.
He said that the accused parked his vehicle in Bhagwan Valmik Temple and when he asked him to stop and return the vehicle the accused threatened him to kill by pointing a pistol toward him.
He said this purse contained Rs 250000 a gold chain (10 grams) and important documents lying inside the vehicle and expressed doubt the accused could misuse his car.
IO said that a case under sections 392(punishment for robbery and 506(criminal intimidation) of the IPC was registered against the accused.
