Trolley overturned, 55 NREGA workers injured,AAP team rushes to hospital

About 55 workers were reportedly injured after the trolley overturned in Nanaksar village of faridkot district.

The trolley was overturned because the axle of the tractor hitching the trolley got broken on its way.

Manpreet Singh Dhaliwal, press relation officer of Kultar Singh Sandhwan and engineer Sukhjeet Singh Dhilwan Kalan, chairman of the district planning board immediately rushed to the spot and hospital to inquire about the health of the NREGS workers.

“We had been immediately asked by Sandhwan to rush to the hospital and provide all required help to the inferred. We immediately rushed to Baba Dyal Singh civil hospital Kotkapura where the injured were admitted. Most of them got minor injuries and were discharged from the hospital after first aid,” said Manpreet Singh Dhaliwal.

Dhaliwal and Dhilwan thanked said that we ensured all kinds of help to the injured.

He said that most of the travellers in the trolley were women as there was work going on on the water channel in the village.

Dr Harinder Singh Gandhi, senior medical officer of the civil hospital Kotkapura said that all the injured are being examined by taking X-rays etc and they are being given free medicines.
