A married woman committed suicide on Saturday.
Investigating officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that the deceased has been identified as Sujjan Bala wife of Naresh a resident of Mohalla Balmik ward no 7 Lohian Khas.
Nargis wife of Balwinder Singh a resident of Barnala Kalan village in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar told the police that the deceased ended her life by hanging.
IO said that the police acting under section 174 of the Cr.P.C handed over the body to the family after post-mortem.
