The Shahkot police have booked the father-in-law of a woman on the charge of outraging her modesty.
Investigating Officer (IO) Salinder Singh said that the accused has been identified as Satnam Singh son of Dyal Singh a resident of Bhoe Pur village.
The victim complained to the police that her father-in-law molested her on May 18.
IO said that a case under sections 354 -A (sexual harassment of the nature of unwelcome physical contact and advances or a demand or request for sexual favours ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. No arrested have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
