The Nakodar city police have booked five members of a family on the charge of outraging a woman’s modesty.
Investigating Officer (IO) Rajinder Pal Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sunny Sondhi son of Jaspal a resident of Mohalla Rehman Pura Nakodar, his wife Bindu, daughter Día, son Piyush and brother Kamal
Aman Chohan wife of Sanu Chohan a resident of the same locality complained to the police that her husband went outside to bring inside the scooter parked in the street on June 2 7 when the accused attacked him. She said she and her mother-in-law came outside to save her husband the accused removed her hair cover and outranged her modesty by assaulting her.
Aman said they enter their house to save themselves the accused barged into the house and assaulted them.
IO said that a case under sections 354 (criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty),323(voluntarily causing hurt) 451(house trespass) 427(mischief), and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC had been registered against the accused. No arrested have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
