Woman among seven drug peddlers held under NDPS Act

 

NURMAHAL/SHAHKOT

The Nurmahal police have arrested three drug peddlers including a woman on the charge of allegedly selling intoxicant tablets.

Investigating officer Manjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Aman Deep Kaur wife of Parminder Singh a resident of Kang Kalan village in Shahkot and presently living in Bhangala village, Parwinder Singh son of Som Nath a resident of Bilga village, and Deepak Singh son of Paramjit Singh a resident of Jago Sangha village

IO said that 390 intoxicant tablets(loose) were recovered from the possession of the accused.

A case under sections 22-B/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and impounded a scooter on which they were traveling with the contraband.

The Shahkot police arrested two drug peddlers Sukha Singh son of Jonas and Sukhdev Singh son of Kashmir Singh resident of Makhu in Feroze Pur with 170 intoxicant tablets and impounded their motorcycle said IO Gurnam Singh.

 

The Bilga police arrested two drug peddlers Lakhwinder Singh son of Surinder Pal Singh and Ramneet Singh son of Paramjit Singh residents of Nakodar with 250 intoxicant tablets and impounded their motor cycle said IO Sat Pal.
