A married woman on Friday committed suicide.
Investigating Officer IO) Som Nath said that the deceased has been identified as Manjot Kaur (30) wife of Harbhajan Singh a resident of Kotla Jangan village.
Manjit Kaur wife of Jaspal Singh a resident of Kang Sahibu village informed the police that her close relative was suffering from depression and strangulated herself.
IO said that the police acting under section 174 of the Cr.P.C handed over the body to the family after post-mortem.
