The Shahkot police have arrested a villager on the charge of selling illicit country-made liquor.
Investigating officer Kashmir Singh said that the accused has been identified as Balwinder Singh a resident of Thamu Wal village and seized 5 bottles of hooch from his possession.
A case under section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
The Mehat Pur police arrested Jagdish Singh a resident of Khehra Mushtarka village with 25 kilograms of lahann(raw liquor) said IO Balwinder Singh.
