Faridkot based Travel agent,wife and manager booked for cheating, two of Rs 27.5 lakh , but allegedly left the country along with family before booking

The Faridkot city police have registered two separate cases against the three persons,Deepak Sharma, his wife Shikha Sharma and manager of the SBE visa immigration centre Arshdeep Singh.

The first case has been registered against the three on the complaint of Jaskaran Singh son of  Hari Singh of village Valhoor of Ferozepur district under section 420(cheating)/406(criminal breach of trust) and 120 B(criminal conspiracy) besides section 13 of Punjab Travel profession act 2014.

The complainant has stated that the accused had taken Rs 7.5 lakh from the victim besides a cheque book on the pretext of sending him abroad on study basis, but breached the promise and cheated him by not returning the paid amount and cheque book.

The case is being investigated by Gurmeet Singh,DSP Sub division Faridkot.

The three accused have also been booked in a separate case on the complaint of Bhupinder Singh son of Hakam Singh of village Fatehgarh Korotana of Moga district.

In his complaint, Bhupinder Singh has alleged that the accused got Rs 20 lakh and original documents from him on the pretext of sending him abroad on study visa, but did not return the money and original documents.

The police have booked the three under the same sections of IPC in this case as well.

The three accused are residents of Faridkot town.

The accused have allegedly already left the country and settled abroad.

"The accused levels serious allegations that he had been receiving threat calls from gangsters and some influential people were disturbing him. So he was forced to leave the country feeling insecurity and shut down his business. When my business is not secure, I am unable to come back," claimed a source who said that he has said these words speaking to some media persons.
