Tenders worth Rs 1.78 crore relaunched for the development works of the town-Gurdit Singh Sekhon,MLA Faridkot

 Faridkot MLA Gurdit Singh Sekhon said that in view of the stagnation in the development of the city, the tenders for development works have been re-launched by the Municipal Council Faridkot.

He said that in the first phase, tenders worth Rs 1. 78 lakh have been floated for the development of the city.
 " Rs 92.21 lakh  has been proposed for the repair of Old Cantt Road to German Colony, Rs 23 lakh for raising and installing new sewerage covers across the city, Rs 31.51 lakh for installation of interlock tiles from Hukki Chowk to Garg Painter (Old Jail Road) and Rs18.20 lakh is to be spent on the construction of both side drains in Balbir Basti. Moreover,Rs.13.76 lakh is meant to repair and patch work in the whole city," said Gurdit Singh Sekhon.
He said that this will fulfill the long-standing demand of the city residents.

He also said that the main road of Balbir Basti in the city gets flooded during rainy days and people have to face a lot of difficulties. The resolution for the construction of this road has been unanimously approved by the city council. The construction of this road is likely to cost Rs 89.66 lakh , the estimate of which has been sent to the Municipal Council for approval. Soon the tenders for the construction of this road will also be floated by the city council.
