4-5 unidentified besides a Kotkapura based businessman Linkan Malhotra and his aid Dr Sunil Singla were booked for alleged murderous attack on the son of the former Sarpanch of village Duareana.
The city police Kotkpaura has registered a case on the complaint of Jasmat Singh son of Lachman Singh, former sarpanch of village Duareana of the district.
The complainant has stated to the police that he was coming back from a party at about 8PM on Friday when the accused chased him and stopped their Scorpio vehicle in front of his Bolero car.
"About 4-5 persons came out of the car of the accused and attacked him with an intention to murder. I hardly escaped by abandoning my vehicle and running into the streets," alleged the complainant.
He said that the reason for the attack was that he had had a heated exchange with the accused at the party.
The police have booked Linkan Malhotra, Dr Sunil Singla and 4-5 unidentified under sections 307/341/506/427/148/149 and 120 B of IPC.
