Heavy police arrangements were put in place as the Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) a religious seat founded by Ashutosh Maharaj (clinically declared dead but claimed to be in Samadhi), held its Guru Purnima celebrations on Monday in view of the threats by some terrorists against the Sansthan, headquartered in Nurmahal.
The district police had deployed countless police
personnel for providing security during the annual function. Innumerable devotees from all over the state participated in the celebrations.
Union defense minister Raj Nath Singh, Patiala MP, Parneet Kaur, Anand Pur Sahib M P, Munish Tiwari Ludhiana MP, R.S.Bittu, Jagraon MLA Sarabjit Kaur Mannuke , Aadam Pur MLA S.S.Kotli and many BJP, Bajrang Dal, VHP leaders former ministers paid obeisance.
