NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested three persons and booked three more on the charge of murdering a 35-year-old youth identified as Kuljinder Singh son of Tarsem Sing a resident of Ladhe Wali village.
Station house officer (SHO) Gurinder Jit Singh Nagra said that the accused have been identified as Gurdeep Singh son of Budh Singh a resident of Mehmud Pur village, Viki son of Harbans Lal a resident of Mohalla Guru Nanak Pura, Nakodar, and Varinder Singh alias Battu son of Avtar Singh a resident of Mohem village under Mehat Pur police station.
Kiranjit Kaur wife of the deceased complained to the police that her husband Kuljinder Singh went to puddling(kaddu) land taken on rent on Ladhe Wali -Rasul Pur village on July 1 at 11 P.M. with his tractor
She said that this land is visible from her house, and she came outside after hearing a noise.
Kiranjit Kaur said that when her husband came out from the land the accused who came in n two cars and one scooter waylaid Kuljinder and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and seriously injured him.
She said that she along with his brother-in-law reached the spot-on July 2 at 12.45 AM and rushed Kuljinder to a clinic at Khambarra village where he succumbed to his injuries.
SHO said that a case under sections 302(murder) 341(wrongful restraint ) and 148 and 149(rioting ) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused and their three accomplices identified as Ravinder Singh son of Harbhajan Singh a resident of Rasul Pur village, Rajjat son of Kashmi Lal a resident of Sarak Pur village and Rohit alias Datter son of Sodhi a resident of Chak Muglanni village who are absconding and raids are being conducted to nab them.
