The Shahkot police have busted a gang of snatchers with the arrest of its three members.
Investigating officer (IO) and in-charge Talwandi Sanghera police post Nirmal Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurwant Singh son of Karamjit Singh, Jaspal Singh alias Gogi son of Joginder Singh resident s of Raunta village and Dharminder Singh son of Jaswindr Singh a resident of Gehlarran village
IO said that the accused are habitual snatchers and recovered from their possession one motorcycle (without a registered number), a country-made pistol 318 bores, one live cartridge 7.62 bores, and a sharp-edged weapon. A case under sections 379-B (snatching) and 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
