The Shahkot police have booked a motorcyclist on charges of causing grievous hurt by an act endangering the life or personal safety of others, rash driving on the public road, and mischief.
Investigating officer (IO) Sulinder Singh said that the accused has been identified as Joginder Pal son of Sharan Ram, a Rai Wal Dona village resident.
Sukhdev Singh a resident of Koharr Khurd village complained to the police that the accused was driving his two-wheeler very fast and negligently and hit his motorcycle Reharri near a new petrol pump in Shahkot on June 29 morning and seriously injured him
IO said a case under sections 279 (rash driving on public roads) 337 and 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 427 (mischief) of the IPC has been registered against Joginder Pal.
