The Bilga police have booked a tractor-trolley driver on charges of causing grievous hurt by an act endangering the life or personal safety of others, rash driving on the public road, and mischief.
Investigating officer (IO) Nachhtar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sandeep Singh son of Sukhwinder Singh a resident of Sunnarr Kalan village.
Manjita a resident of Sham Pur village complained to the police that the accused was driving his tractor trolley very fast and negligently and hit his motorcycle near his village on Phillaur -Nurmahal road on June 29 and seriously injured him and his friend who was pillion riding his motorcycle
IO said a case under sections 279 (rash driving on public roads) 337 and 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 427 (mischief) of the IPC has been registered against Sandeep Singh.
