The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a miscreant on the charge of snatching cash.
The Investigating Officer (IO) and Shankar police post in charge Lovleen Kumar said that the accused has been identified as Harmanjit Singh son of Paramjit Singh a resident of Chak Kalan village.
Lovnesh Jain a resident of Jalandhar complained to the police that the accused barged into his shop at Shankar village on June 28 morning and snatched Rs 1000 from him at the point of a knife and forcibly pushed him and he fell on the ground and raised an alarm.
He said his nearby shopkeepers chased the accused and detained him and handed him over to the police.
The Investigating Officer said that a case under section 379-B (snatching) and 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and recovered snatched money and knife from his possession.
