The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested two miscreants on the charge of snatching earrings from two women.
Investigating officer (IO) Janak Raj said that the accused have been identified as Prabhu Nath son of Tarsem Singh a resident of Sekhu Pur colony under Kapurthala city police station and Neeraj son of Malkit a resident of Mansur Wal village under city Kapurthala police station.
Kulvir Singh a resident of Rahim Pur village under Kartar Pur police station complained to the police that the motorcycle-borne accused waylaid him near Jahan Gir village on June 27 and snatched earrings from his wife Kulwinder Kaur and daughter Dukhjit Kaur at the point of sharp-edged weapons.
IO said that a case under section 379-B (snatching) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
