The Shahkot police have arrested two drug peddlers on the charge of selling heroin.
Station House Officer (SHO) AmanpreetKaur said that 50 grams of heroin were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Gurjinder Singh alias Jinda son of Pala Singh a resident of Amir Shah village under Makhu police station and Jatinder Singh son of Sher Singh a resident of Basti Labh Singh Wali under Guru Har Sahay police station.
SHO said Jinda told the police during interrogation that he has purchased a country-made pistol 32 bore from Madya Pradesh which is kept in the house of Jaswinder Singh alias Jassa soon of Balvir Singh a resident of Bogi Wali Basti under Guru Har Sahay police station which was recovered.
SHO said a case under sections 21-B-6185 of the NDPS Act and section 25 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused and impounded a motorcycle on which they were traveling with the contraband.
The Nurmahal police have arrested a drug peddler Puran Singh son of Amarjit Singh, a Parjian Bihari Pur village resident under Sidhama Bet police station Ludhiana with 490 intoxicant tablets said IO Manjit Singh.
