The Bilga police have arrested a Phillaur resident villager on the charge of selling illicit liquor
The Station House Officer (SHO) Mohindar Pal said 200 bottles of hooch were seized from the possession of the accused identified as Vikram Ram alias Viki a resident of Garra Road Phillaur .
SHO said a case under section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused and impounded his scooter without the registration number. He told the police that he has purchased hooch from Prem Singh of Burj Hassan village, nominated in this case.
