Two persons,Nacchatar Singh and Manna Singh died on the spot when the pilot vehilcle of Faridkot legislature Gurdit Singh Sekhon allegedly rammed into their motorcycle from behind.
Both of them were the residents of village Jhotiwala and were returning from Faridkot after buying paddy seed.
The accident took place Friday afternoon near village Machaki of the district.
The pilot was late and allegedly following the MLA overspeedily,the Sarpanch of village Jhotiwala alleged.
The families of the deceased protested with the deadbodies of the accident victims outside the city police station Faridkot.
The MLA was,not traveling along with this vehilcle when the accident took place.
"The police have seized the pilot gypsy and action is being taken as per the law.It is very unfortunate. But some people don't hesitate to do politics on the corpses too.The accident took place when the vivtims tried to take a turn,but as the pilot was,very close,it could not stop all of the sudden. However, police are investing the matter,"said Gurdit Singh Sekhon.
