The Nakodar Sadar police have recommended the cancellation of the arms license of one of Amrit Pal Singh’s supporters.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Gurinder Jit Singh Nagra in an official communication to Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police M S Bhullar said that the arms license granted to Omkar Nath son of Sham Lal a resident of TUT Kalan village was verified by assistant sub-inspector Amrik Singh through village sarpanch Balwant Singh.
SHO said that arms license no. DM/JAL/INID/PKND/6/2021/N/20171305 is valid until June 28-2026. A revolver bore no A-1649-P2021 is registered in his name with arms receipt no.153 and is deposited in Capital Gun House Nakodar Road Jalandhar.
SHO said in his communication that the police have confirmed from sources that Omkar Nath is associated with the “Varas Punjab De” organization of Amritpal Singh and is his supporter.
The communication said that Omkar Nath could use his armament for anti-social activities, and it is recommended to cancel his arms license
