The Shahkot police have booked two miscreants on the charge of snatching Rs 70,000.
The Investigating officer (IO)Salindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sukhpreet Singh alias Sukha son of Pawitar Singh a resident of Uppal Khlasa village under Nurmahal police station and Salvindar Singh alias Billu son of Jaspal a resident of Kotla Jangan village under Nakodar Sadar police station.
Anit Kumar a resident of Shahkot town complained to the police that the accused waylaid him at Malsian bridge on May 30 assaulted and snatched Rs 70,000 from him.
IO said that a case under section 379-B(snatching) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
