The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a Kapurthala village drug peddler on the charge of selling heroin and recovered a huge quantity of contraband from him.
Jalandhar(rural) Senior Superintendent of Police M.S Bhullar told media persons that said that 6 kilograms of heroin worth Rs 3 crores and Rs 3000 drug money were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Gujral Singh alias Joga son of Jogindar Singh a resident of Boot village under Subhan Pur police station in Kapurthala who is a notorious drug peddler and three cases under the NDPS Act are pending against him in the different police station and his father is in jail in a drug case.
SSP said that the accused was intercepted at a Naka at Mallian Kalan village in front of Gate Kang Sahib Rai village where he misbehaved with the police with the intention to kill police personnel and tried to flee from the site but was nabbed and his Verna car (Pb-09-AN-9245) in which he was traveling with the contraband has been impounded.
Nakodar Sadar SHO G.S.Nagra said that a case under section 21-C-/61/85 of the NDPS Act and sections 186(obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions) 353(assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 279(rash driving) and 427(mischief) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused.
The Nakodar city police arrested drug peddler Manoj Kumar son of Vinod Kumar and Raj Kumar alias Bardania son of Ashok Kumar residents of Mohalla Udham Singh Nagar Nakodar with 240 intoxicant tablets and 110 intoxicant capsules said SHO Bhushan Kumar.
