Nurmahal robbery case; local resident among five more arrested

 

NURMAHAL

 The Nurmahal police have arrested five more accused including a local resident involved in a sensational robbery case here.

The Jalandhar (rural) Senior Superintendent of Police M.S.Bhullar told media persons said that the accused have been identified as Amit Kumar alias Mogali son of Harmesh Lal a resident of Mohalla Paraincheyan ,Gangdeep Singh alias Ganga son of Iqbal Singh a resident of Bhure Gill village in Ajnala Amritsat ,Akashdeep Singh alias Maddi son of Gurdev Singh a resident of Tara Garh Talawan village under Jandiala Guru police station, Gurpreet Singh alias Gopa son of Kashmir Singh a resident of Dhaliwal village under Nakodar Sadar police station and Gavardhan Dhana son of Som Nath a resident of Rurraki village under Goraya police station.

Bhullar said Rs 2.06 lakhs (total recovery of the rupee, is Rs 3,86lakhs) one pistol with 2 live cartridges,20 grams of gold ornaments, and a looted smartphone were recovered from the accused.  

SSP said that eight accused were arrested on June 7 and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused Manpreet Masih a resident of Bhure Gill village and Jaswinder Kumar a resident of Nurmahal.

 

Nurmahal SHO Sukhdev Singh said that a case under sections 458(lurking house-trespass) 342(wrongful restraint) and 392(punishment for robbery.) of the IPC and sections 25 /54/59 of the Arms Act was registered against registered the accused.
