The Mehat Pur police have booked seven persons including two women on the charge of assaulting a villager.
The Investigating Officer (IO) Jaswindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Usha wife of Shital a resident of Mandiala village, his son Pindar, Manga and his wife Gori resident of the same village, and their three unidentified accomplices.
Sukhwindar Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused barged into his house and assaulted and threatened to kill him.
IO said a case under sections 452(house trespass) ,323(voluntarily causing hurt) ,506(criminal intimidation ), and 148 and 149 (rioting ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
