Nakodar De-Addiction Centre owner fudged records; booked for fraud

 

NAKODAR

The Nakodar city police have booked a license holder of a Nakodar De-addiction centre for fudging records and misusing license.

Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Harjindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Doctor Amit Bansal license holder of Sehaj Hospital, Jalandhar Baba Murad Shah Road Nakodar

Doctor Shiny Dehal senior resident of DDTC, DH Jalandhar in her report to the Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner said that an inquiry was instituted against the center following a complaint from Chef Minster Office.

She said in her report that the drug inspector Jalandhar -4 has inspected the de-addiction Centre at Sahej Hospital Nakodar and found glaring discrepancies in records maintained by the center and a team of senior doctors verified all inquiry reports.  

Jalandhar deputy commissioner wrote to the Punjab government regarding malpractices by the center and asked senior police officials to act.

 

DSP said that SSP (rural) directed city police to register a case and inquire and a case under sections 465,468 and 471(fraud) and sections 22-C(selling drugs),26/29, and 30(willfully doing any act in breach of any condition of license or permit) of the NDPS Act has been registered against doctor Bansal.
