Nurmahal robbery case solved; eight arrested, five nominated,

 The Jalandhar (rural) police have solved the sensational robbery case in Nurmahal town and arrested eight members of the robbers’ gang and identified its five other members for looting jewelry and cash from a Nurmahal resident at the point of a pistol. 

The Jalandhar(rural) Senior Superintendent of Police(SSP)  Mukhwindaer Singh Bhullar told media men that the accused have been identified as Sharanjit Singh alias Sunni son of Resham Singh a resident of Rurrki village under Goraya village, Jagjit Singh alias Jaggi alias Ghorra a resident of Kandola village, Kuldip Singh alias Deepi son of Parwindar Singh a resident of Bundala village, Jagjiv Singh alias Jagga son of Paramjit Singh a resident of  Salar Pur village under Sadar Jamsher police station, Rajdeep Singh son of Baljit Singh a resident of Sunner Khurd village under Sadar Jamsher police station and Juvraj Singh alias Yuvi son of Nirmal Singh a resident of Ranni Wal Upplan Di Dhani village in Mukat Sar Sahib district.

SSP said that Jaswindar Kumar alias Monu Gill son of Chaman Lal a resident of the colony near 220 KV Sub Station Nurmahal  and Gurpreet Singh alias Gopa son  of Kashmir Singh a resident of Dhali Wal village under Nakodar Sadar police station are masterminds of this robbery operation Kashmir Singh adding that Monu Gill shifted to Manila who was in touch via WhatsApp with Gopa and told him  that Shashi Bhushan who is running a shop of vessels in Lamba Bazar has a lot of gold and cash in his house and we can loot this and will distribute among all.

SSP said that Gopa executed lotting plan and his gang looted Rs 4.70 lakhs and golden ornaments from the house and had to flee as Shashi came back home.  

Sashi Bhushan son of Ramesh Chandar a resident of Mohalla Passian Nurmahal has complained to the police that the accused barged into his house on May 29 afternoon captured his father tied him in a corner and looted Rs 5 Lakhs and Jewellery, a smartphone of his father at the point of a pistol.

SSP said that 5 motorcycles Rs 1.80 lakhs,2 pistols with 4 live cartridges and a gold ring, and a smartphone purchased with looted money have been recovered from the possession of the accused.  

 

SSP said that a case under sections 458(lurking house-trespass) 342(wrongful restraint) and 392(punishment for robbery.) of the IPC and sections 25 /54/59 of the Arms Act was registered against registered with the accused and raids are being conducted to arrest GaganDeep Singh a resident of Bhure Gill village Ajnala Amritsar, Manpreet Masih also resident of the same village, Akash Deep a resident of Tara Garh Talawan village under Jandiala Guru police station, Gurpreet alias Gopa and Jaswindar Kumar who are other accused in this case.
