Vigilance Bureau Bathinda registered 22 cases of corruption, 31 arrested

The vigilance Bureau Bathinda has claimed to have arrested 31 persons including a sitting party MLA besides his PA and registered 22 cases of corruption.
"Under the instruction of the chief minister Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, to have a zero tolerance of corruption, and able guidance of the Director Vigilance, Varinder Kumar, vigilance bureau Bathinda has registered 22 cases of corruption and arrested 31 persons,' said Harpal Singh,SSP vigilance Bureau Bathinda in a press note today to the media.
The said cases pertain to the period from September 2022 to May 2023.
"The action has been taken on the complaints lodged on anti corruption helpline besides other modes which was launched on March 23 and the bureau has registered 22 cases and action has been taken against the 31 persons. Bathinda, Muktsar and Mansa districts fall under the jurisdiction of the Vigilance burau Bathinda," said the VB spokespersons today in a press release.
The 15 persons were caught red handed, 4 on the anti corruption line and 3 were criminal complaints on toll free number, the burau said.
