The Jalandhar (rural) police on Monday destroyed drugs seized under NDPS Act by various police stations.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mukhbindasr Singh Bhullar said in a press release that the drugs seized were destroyed in a fire on the premises of Green Plant Energy Private Limited Bir Pind village.
He said that destroyed drugs included 2226 kilograms and 800 grams of poppy husk,6 kilograms, 718 grams of intoxicant powder,5 kilograms and 901 grams of heroin,,450 grams charas,05 grams ganja,,584 injections,2848 intoxicant tablets,70 intoxicant capsules..
The press note said that the drug disposal committee of Jalandhar rural chairman and SSP M.S.Bhullar, SP(D) M.S.Dhillon member, and Tarsem Masih DSP (investigation) were present on the occasion.
