A Faridkot resident has been booked for sexully assaulting a 6 years minor girl at city police station Faridkot.
The accused perpetrated the crime when the victim was alone at home.
The police have registered a case against one Jagir Singh under section 376 AB/506(criminal intimidation) of IPC besides section 6 of Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences(POSCO) act 2012.
Section 376 AB
(Whoever, commits rape on a woman under twelve years of age shall be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than twenty years, but which may extend to imprisonment for life)
The medical examination of the victim leads to an issue between the SI Gurmail kaur who took the victim for medical examination to the local civil hopsital.
She alleged that the doctor on duty misbehaved with her when she asked the doctor for the medical examination of the victim.
The IO also registered her protest with the senior police officers.
The police officers told the media that the doctor allegedly misbehaved with the IO and they have taken note of it.
The duly action will be taken in this regard.
"The issue has been brought to the notice of SSP Faridkot and there was some misunderstanding between the doctor and the IO. The issue will be amicably resolved Monday in the meeting of the health department and police officers," said Dr Chander Sekher,CMO Faridkot speaking to the media.
