Amrik Singh,IPRO, who had been serving in Ferozpur has on Friday taken the additional charge of the public information department Faridkot as a head.
Amrik Singh was earlier transferred to Faridkot to head the public relations department, but in the meanwhile, he was again given the full time charge of the Ferozpur district.
Arun Chaudhry was heading the department earlier, who was not stationed at state headquarters Chandigarh.
He has now joined as the head of the public information office Faridkot with an additional charge.
Singh had already served in Faridkot for about 4 years and 6 months and was transferred to Ferozpur in October 2022.
“I am very happy to take the additional charge of the public information department of Faridkot district, a holy place which has been visited by Baba Farid ji. I shall try my best to serve the department by communicating all the messages of the government to the public so that the public can get duly benefits from the government schemes,” said Amrik Singh, speaking to the PunjabTribune.com.
Amrik Singh had been serving with a famous Punjabi vernacular before joining the department.
“We are happy to have Amrik Singh back as our head. He is very cooperative.We have no problem with the shortage of staff. There are two clerks,one steno, one watchman, one peon and a driver who is on an adhoc basis. I have been serving the department for more than 25 years and we are trying our best to make a bridge between the government and the public. All the heads of the department were very good and I loved working with them,” said Tarsem Chand,TPO in the department.
