Faridkot
Vineet Kumar,a 2012 IAS officer , has on Thursday taken over as the DC Faridkot.
Kumar has been transferred from Muktsar to Faridkot.
The DC was given guard of honor by the police party.
Harjeet Singh,IPS,SSP Faridkot was present on the occasion.
The DC first held an introductory meeting with the civil and police officers.
“I have got an opportunity to serve the district named after great soofi saint Baba Farid ji and I shall leave no stone upturned to give the people a very effective administration. All the programmes of the government would be effectively implemented and completed in the district,” he said in a press release to the media today.
He instructed the officials to complete the government programmed/projects in a time bound manner and he will soon go to the people to listen to their grievances.
Vineet Kumar has earlier served as DC Muktsar, Bathinda and Ferozpur besides special secretary agriculture and additional director Punjab ware housing corporation.
