NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have booked five miscreants including a Nakodar resident t on the charge of snatching cash, house trespass, theft, and criminal intimidation.
The Investigating Officer (IO) Rannji9t Singh said that the accused has been identified as Shub Karan Singh son of Amarjit Singh a resident of Mohalla Guru Nanak Pura and his four unidentified accomplices.
Sunil Dhir a resident of Mohalla Dhiran complained to the police that he owned residential police situated in Mohalla Sundar Nagar from where some construction material was stolen on May 16 by some unidentified accused.
He said in his complaint that he visited his plot on May 17 and heard the noise of ransacking and when he entered inside, he found some breaking his shed and tried to flee. He said he recognized one accused as Shub karan Singh and stopped him, but his accomplices came back for rescuing him and snatched his purse containing Rs 5000 and threatened him and fled away.
IO said that a case under section 379-B(snatching)380(theft in dwelling house) 454(house trees pass) and 506(criminal intimidation) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and further investigations are on.
