NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have booked sixteen accused on the charge of assaulting a youth.
The investigating officer Rannjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Harnoor Singh a resident of Nakodar and his seven identified and eight unidentified accomplices.
Karandeep Singh, a resident of Nawan Pind Shaunkian village complained to the police Harnoor phoned him to reach a particular spot for talks where he and his accomplices assaulted and injured him on February 20.
IO said that a case under sections 323,324 (voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) and 341(wrongful restrain ) and 148 and 149(rioting ) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
