Punjab Agriculture and Panchayat Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said on Wednesday that infrastructure at grain markets in the Doaba region would be upgraded and modernized as good markets are very important for agriculture in the state. Inaugurated development work at four-grain markets in Nakodar, Sarihn village, Kot Badal Khan village, and Mithrra village, Dhaliwal said the development of grain market in Punjab is the top priority of the Punjab Government led by Chief Minster Bhagwant Singh Mann which begun from today.
He said Rs 6.80 crores would be spent on the modernization of grain markets in Doaba and laid the foundation stone for cement/brick flooring in some grain markets.
Nakodar MLA Inderjit Kaur Maan accompanied Dhaliwal.
