Woman among seven booked for murdering Pasla resident

 

NURMAHAL

The Nurmahal police have booked seven persons including a woman on the charge of murdering a Pasla village resident.

The Station House Officer (SHO) Surindar Kumar said that the accused have been identified as Bittu a resident of Pasla village, his son Jimmi, daughter Shila and Gopi, Rohit,Balwindar, and Jora all residents of Pasla village.

SHO said that the accused murdered Chamkaur Lal a resident of the Palsa village who was attacked on February 17 night .

Manprit alias Mannu a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused waylaid his uncle Chamkaur Lal and attacked him with sharp cadged weapons with the intention to kill and seriously injured him who succumbed to his injuries in a Jalandhar clinic.  

 

SHO said a case under sections 302(murder), 307(attempt to murder) and 323,324(voluntarily causing hurt with weapons), 341(wrongful restraint), and 148 and 149(rioting) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused. No arrest has been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
