The Bilga police have booked three Bilga village residents on the charge of murdering a Ludhiana youth.
The Station house officer (SHO) Mohindar Pal said that the accused have been identified as Gurprit Singh alias Gopi son of Mukhtiar Singh ,Davindar son of Nishan Singh, and Lovpreet Singh alias Khati son of Baldev Singh all residents of Burj Hassan village.
SHO said that the deceased has been identified as Ramandeep Singh son of Gurmit Singh (25) a resident of Hujra village under Sidhama Bet police station Ludhiana.
Rup Singh son of Gurdial Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that his nephew Ramanjeet was going to a shop to purchase domestic materials on Wednesday late evening when the accused waylaid him near the house of Kaku and started a quarrel.
Roop Singh said in his complaint that two accused caught Ramandeep’s arms and a third accused attacked his nephew with a dagger that pierced his chest near his heart, and he died on the spot.
SHO said that a case under sections 302(murder) and 34(committing a crime with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused. The body of the deceased was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
