NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have booked eight villagers including two migrants on the charge of assaulting a villager.
The investigating officer (IO) Chaman Lal said that the accused have been identified as Ravi and Murli natives of UP state and residing at Rasul Pur village, Davindar Singh , Gurdeep Singh, and Vicki residents of Rasul Pur village, Aman a resident of Bhanno Langa village in Kapurthala and Gopi a resident of Sahem village.
Joban a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused barged into his house on February 8 night and assaulted him.
IO said that a case under sections 323,324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) 452((house trespass )427(mischief) and 148 and 1499(rioting ) 365(kidnapping) and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
