NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have booked nine villagers on the charge of assaulting a co-villager.
The investigating officer (IO) Jasvir Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sandal Prit, Jagat Singh, Karan, Gurprit, Gagan, Jashan, Price, Sagar, and Kuldeep Singh all residents of Nur Pur village.
Nishan Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused waylaid and attacked him witha sharp weapon and seriously injured him on February 14
IO said that a case under sections 323,324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) 341,342((wrong full restraint and confinement )365(kidnapping) and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
