Punjab and Chandigarh union of journalists organises a traffic awareness programme in Kotkapura

Punjab and Chandigarh Union Of Journalists on Tuesday organized a traffic awareness seminar in Guru Nanak Mission Public Senior Secondary school Kotkpaura.
"The traffic awareness seminar was organised by the union and traffic incharge Malwinder Singh to educate the children about traffic rules. We see many accidents take place across the world daily due to the violation of traffic rules and lack of knowledge about those," said Gurinder Singh Mehndiratta, chairman of the union, block Kotkapura.
The students of the school were educated about traffic related signs and symbols by elaborating them with related visuals by Balkar Singh, of the traffic cell Faridkot.
DSP sub division Kotkapura, Shamsher Singh Shergill was the chief guest of the programme.
"The students should not make use of social media and mobile phones as it leads to many incidences of crime and one is vulnerable to fall into any trap by criminals," said Shamsher Singh Shergill, during the interaction with children.
He also cautioned the students about the crimes taking place in society and asked them to be careful about it.
