NAKODAR
The Mehat Pur police detained a person on the charge of illegal sand mining and fined him.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Balraj Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurpreet Singh son of Resham Singh a resident of Bangiwal village who was indulging in illegal quarrying of sand in the village and impounded his loaded tractor trolly and imposed a fine under section 75 of the Mining Act.
