The Shahkot police have arrested three miscreants on the charge of looting Rs 50,000 from a Moga resident.
Shahkot Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Onkar Singh Brar said that the accused have beenidentified as Jashanpreet Singh alias Jashan son of Jagtar Singh, a resident of Jeera in Feroze Pur, Mukesh Kumar alias Kaka, son of Kuldeep Singh a resident of Ghor Mohalla Jeera, and Varindar Pal, son of Kuldeep Singh a resident of Warra Pahuwindai Jeera
Sukhpal Singh, a resident of Adarsh Nagar, Dharam Kot in Moga, complained to the police that the accused waylaid him on August 12, attacked him, and snatched Rs 50000, a cheque book and a cheque, and other documents.
DSP said a case under sections 309(4),311(robbery with attempt to cause death or grievous injury), 126(2) (wrongful restraint )61(2)(criminal conspiracy) and 3(5) (committing crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused and recovered from them Rs 50,000 and documents and impounded a scooter used in the crime.
