The Shahkot police have booked unidentified persons on the charge of brewing illicit country-made liquor.
The investigating officer Salindar Singh said that the accused were brewing illicit liquor inside Dhussi Bandh of River Sutlej near Bau Pur village .900 liters of boiled lahann(raw liquor),39 bottles of hooch, and utensils for storing and brewing were recovered from the spot and the accused managed to flee. A case under section 61/1/14 of the excise act has been registered against the accused.
