The Mehat Pur police detained a person on the charge of illegal sand mining and fined him.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Balraj Singh said that the accused have been identified as Tarsem Singh a resident of Bangiwal village who was indulging in illegal quarrying of sand in the village and impounded his loaded tractor trolly and imposed a fine under section 75 of the Mining Act.
