The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a car driver on the charge of causing death by negligence.
The investigating officer (IO) Sam Nath said that the accused has been identified as Kashmiri alias Rinki a resident of Awann Chaharmi village.
Kulwant Singh a resident of Singh Pur village complained to the police that the accused was driving his swift car negligently and fast on December 17 and hit his nephew Harprit Singh ‘s motorcycle at Kang Sahibu village on the Jalandhar -Nakodar highway and seriously injured him who succumbed to his injuries in a hospital.
IO said that a case under sections 304-A (causing death by negligence)279(rash driving on a public road) 337(causing hurt by the act that endangers life or safety of others) 427 (mischief) of the IPC has been against Rinki and released him on bail.
